Few places on earth are as peaceful, or as meaningful, as the Sea of Galilee.
Situated some 690 feet below sea level, Israel’s largest fresh water lake and its surrounding majestic hills form the backdrop to some of our Lord’s most dramatic miracles. Take a moment to hear John Moore reflect upon what the Sea of Galilee means to him.
The beauty of the place is only part of it. On and around these shores Jesus calmed the storm, fed the 5,000, healed the sick, cared for the needy and called His disciples to become fishers of men. The words and works that changed the world happened here, and they still change lives today.
📖 Read the passages:
Calling the disciples: Matthew 4:18–22
Calming the storm: Mark 4:35–41
Feeding the 5,000: John 6:1–14
