Optional Jordan Excursion
Friday, October 9
Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport and drive to Rehovot, Israel.
Saturday, October 10
Travel South from Rehovot through the Biblical and greater Negev and the sites of Lachish, Avdat, Timna, and Eilat. Overnight in Eilat.
Sunday, October 11
After a time of worship together, we will cross the border and travel to Petra, Jordan. Overnight in Petra.
Monday, October 12
Wake up in Petra Jordan. From there travel to Mount Nebo where Moses was able to look into the promised land. From there travel through Beth Abara and return to Rehovot to connect with the remainder of the group for the Israel portion of the tour.

Monday, October 12
Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport and drive to Rehovot, Israel.
Tuesday, October 13
Tour the Elah Valley where David killed Goliath. Travel to Beersheba a place where Abraham settled. From there go on to Ein Bokek and ultimately end up at the Dead Sea. Overnight at the Dead Sea.
Wednesday, October 14
Continue our time in the Judean Wilderness with a stop at Masada. Overnight at the Dead Sea.
Thursday, October 15
From the Dead Sea we will travel North to the ancient community of Qumran where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. We will continue onto the ancient site of Jericho. From Jericho, we will continue traveling up the rift valley to the ancient city Roman decapolis city Beth Shean. We will end the day at either Migdal or Tiberias, cities on the Sea of Galilee. Overnight in Migdal or Tiberius.
Friday, October 16
After waking up by the Sea of Galilee we will ascend Mount Arbel. We will tour the ancient town of Magdala to see the first century synagogue. From there we will board a boat to ride on the Sea of Galilee we will then go to the adopted hub of Jesus' ministry Capernaum. Overnight in Migdal or Tiberius.
Saturday, October 17
We will start the day at the ancient site of Chorazin, one of the cities denounced by Jesus. From there we travel to the traditional northernmost boarder of Israel at tel Dan. From Dan, we will travel to the area of Caesarea Philippi near where Jesus made his confession regarding the Crist. We will end the day on Mount Bental overlooking the imposing landscape of Mt. Hermon. Overnight in Migdal or Tiberius.
Sunday, October 18
Our first stop of the day will be Nazareth. We will worship with the church there and then visit the ancient parts of the modern town. From there we will cross the Jezreel Valley and ascend Mount Carmel where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal. From there, we will descend onto the Sharon plain and ultimately arrive at Caesarea Maritima, Herod's massive artificial harbor. From Caesarea we will drive to Jerusalem where we will get our first look at the ancient capital. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Monday, October 19
Wake up in the ancient city of Jerusalem. We will tour the ancient retaining wall originally built by Herod the great also known as the Western Wall. From there we will visit the Davidson Archaeological Park and then continue our decent onto the ophel. We will visit City of David, Hezekiah's tunnel, and the pool of Siloam. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Tuesday, October 20
Today we will spend our time retracing the footsteaps of Jesus. We will visit Mount of Olives and walk down to the garden in Gethsemane. Fom there we will travel to Galicantu so named for the rooster that crowed. From there, we will travel to the Hidden Gate where Herod's private escape route may have provided. a place for a Jesus trial. From there we will walk to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher one of the likely places for the crucifixion. From there we will end the day at the Garden Tomb to get a sense of what it may have been like for Jesus burial and resurrection.
Wednesday, October 21
As the tour winds down, take advantage of any free time you may have in Jerusalem before ultimately traveling back to the airport taking the memories of the Bible Lands with you for the rest of your life!
